FDA grants orphan drug status for Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) in trials for CRPS
Dr. Robert Shwartzman, the gold standard in compassionate CRPS treatment and research, passed away at his home in Florida. Dr. Schwartzman was a pioneer in the use of ketamine treatments of CRPS since the 1980’s and renowned as the world’s leading expert in CRPS. He opened the first CRPS clinic in the US at Drexel School of Medicine and later founded another clinic in Florida. His contributions to the CRPS community were invaluable and he will be sorely missed, but his legacy will remain.
