TJ Whalen
Memorial Foundation
The TJ Whalen Memorial Foundation was formed in honor of Thomas John Whalen (April 1989-July 2019). TJ was diagnosed with CRPS in 2011 after fracturing his wrist. We provide informational resources for patients, healthcare workers, and caregivers seeking accurate and current information about CRPS and treatment options.
Advancing Research
CPRS research has historically been underfunded. It has been driven by a small number of physicians with extensive knowledge and expertise in this debilitating condition. Learn more and get involved in current research.
Resources
You don’t have to do this alone. Here’s a collection of resources to help you understand your condition and how to cope.
Our Story
Before TJ’s CRPS diagnosis, he was a cheerful and gregarious person. CRPS had a major impact on the quality of TJ’s life and those around him. We all struggled to understand the disease process and find him adequate and compassionate medical care.
